Toddler Travel Checklist The best thing you can do for your own sanity when taking a trip with a toddler is to create a checklist. This way you don't forget anything while you are on the road. The toddler travel checklist can also help you stay organized and recall the essential things that you need to have on hand in order to have a happy and healthy baby while you are travelling. Diapers -- Bring extras because there are almost always emergencies when travelling. It is also not uncommon for babies to be stressed and get diarrheal from travelling as well. Make sure they are disposable and bring plenty of wipes saturated in baby oil, sanitizer and the like to keep your youngster happy as well. Baby blankets -- If your child has a favourite blandly be sure to bring that. Leaving this off of your toddler travel checklist could result in very cranky child. You also might want to bring an extra one in case you are stuck in a cold place with your child in a line up or in a very cold plane or train cabin. Resalable Plastic bags -- Be sure to always stash a few of these with you to keep dirty diapers, bibs and clothes away from contact with the clean clothes that you have on hand. It is simply more hygienic. Baby wipes -- You can never have enough of these, especially the anti-bacterial kind. Toddler bath wash and shampoo -- A baby or toddler can get very dirty travelling so make sure that you have this type of thing on hand to give your baby a quick bath at your hotel first thing if need be. Tissues -- You may not always be in a position where you can be near a store or a bathroom where there is tissues available so you should always have plenty of these on hand Toys and books -- Standing in line long ups, sitting for long periods in confined spaces...this equals boredom for your child. Make sure you carry toys and books that you know keep your child happy and occupied. Sun hat and sun block -- If you are going to a sunny area of the world where the U.V. index is high then you definitely need to have these two items on your toddler travel checklist. A sunscreen with a protection value of 20 or more is best. Sippy cups and bottles -- These are also necessary to keep your child hydrated especially if you are travelling on trains or to a place with a hot climate. Travel cot -- Depending on where you are going you may need a collapsible travel cot for your baby to sleep in. It is possible nowadays to get ones that are inflatable. Collapsible stroller -- You may need
a collapsible stroller if you are going to a place that is more adult
in nature. However if you are going somewhere like Disney World you
may not need this type of item. | ||
